Thank you, Jean. I hadn't ever read a post by you (that I remember). Focusing on Nature and Color, and the Central Oregon landscape is such a great mental break from the on-going flood of COVID-19 info we're all confronted with!

I hope I get to take your 'Stones' class at some point. Thank you.

ps- I too, think Val's updates are so reassuring and helpful. It's a voice from the 'outside world'!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! A couple of you asked about online lectures. I can tell you we're working on it and to keep your eyes open for an announcement soon.

After Empty Spools Seminar was cancelled due to the virus this year, I thought I should put back all of the “rock” fabrics into their little cubbies I had collected for your class. Well, that didn’t happen. I have a concept in my head still percolating for the future. Each time I revisit the collection I am inspired once again. So, I will excitedly revisit the fabrics, and rework the idea in my imagination, as I wait for your inspired leadership and help me make the project come to life. Looking forward to it.

Your words and photos remind me how I miss you and all that you inspire. Thank you for being a bright light at this time of isolation and suffering for those who have been stricken or lost someone to the virus.

Hello Jean. I first took a course at Daisy Kingdom in Portland from you on using color. I still use the principles you taught, and have shared them with others. I first shopped at your little store on the side street in Sisters before you moved. I have followed you through the years and love and am inspired by your work. I live in Newport now. Thank you for what you do. Love, Therese Burr

Any chance you would consider a zoom class or lecture?

Marilee Patrick

It was a joy to revisit the concepts you taught in your Inspiration in Colors class that I was blessed to be a part of in February. I have been observing these concerts and themes in nature when in the Ochocos. I so appreciate the new eye on the world you introduced me to.
