Treasure Island
When I started looking for an idea for this collection I happened upon the Diving Board collection from Alilison Glass... There was something about the color play and depth in the designs that made me think of treasures. Her motifs in each design are so artfully placed and create a delicious patterning. I pulled the linen stripe for a calming effect with all of the prints.
All of the fabrics are from Alison Glass’s Diving Board Collection from Andover Fabrics
A8635 B beautiful medallion with an ocean feeling
A8634 B1 sketch style print featuring sea shore motifs
A8636 B master print with a village and the sea complete with a sailing ship. It would be fun to fussy cut
A8639 E The magenta color in this print is such a popular one at the moment.
The directional quality makes it great for bindings as well
ALN 8640 G linen seaweed stripe
A8637 B Cobalt blue is like a basic color, it plays well with all of the others
A8634 E The mermaid motif among the sea life is a nice surprise
Speaking of surprising color, I snapped a few pics last week at the Houston Quilt Market to share with you:
Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably under colorful streamers in front of the Houston Convention Center,
Alison Glass in her booth at market
Beautiful sculpture in front of the convention center--A real treasure!

Exciting colors in your Treasure Island collection!
The picture of Kaffe and Brandon is a good one.
Brandon is classy with his hat and colorful clothes.
I look at clothes as an extension of quilting and art.
Might as well have fun!
