Coming up this Monday, March 7th, Sue McMahan will be teaching a class based on Tula Pink's "Misdirection" quilt pattern. This is a fun, colorful quilt with a lot of movement--and loads of flying geese going every which way.
Sue helps make the construction process even easier, by showing you how to use the Quilt In A Day 4"x8" Flying Geese ruler. This ruler/technique allows you to make four geese units at a time, using just four lines of stitching! How simple is that?
The pattern is designed for a 56” x 80” quilt, but the size of the quilt can be adjusted from Crib to King size, just by adding more geese. Sue had hers quilted in a geometric pattern, to accent all of the straight lines in the quilt.
Sue especially liked using Tula's "Free Fall" fabric for the backing, because it is 108" wide--no seams! The big dots and swooping swallows are perfect for this quilt, and it is available in four colors (Sue used the "Sky" colorway, but the Orchid Colorway would work wonderfully with the colors in Tula's quilt too.)

We'll see you there!
If you like the quilt, but can't make it to the class,
you can download the pattern for free from FreeSpirit's website.
Happy stitching!
Wow! Lovely!
