8 Hashtags Every Quilter Should Know (And Use!)
From sharing a finished quilt to finding inspiration for a new project hashtags are a great way for the quilting community to come together from all over the world in the comfort of your living room. We have curated a list of some of our favorite hashtags to spend an hour (or 5) scrolling through on Instagram!
This project started in 2015 with @projectLeasa and there have been thousands of photos tagged with this hashtag on Instagram. While this is not necessarily just quilting projects, who doesn’t need a stash buster project once in a while?
This is for those modern quilters out there, but this tag has almost 40,000 photos on instagram of all different projects! It is really hard not to be inspired by the bright fabrics and such different styles that each post has.
While there are not as many posts for this tag, it remains one of our favorites because there is such difference in all the projects. The variety of style is great! We often see quilts made in similar color ways to the original and the different styles of this tag really is inspiring!
This was created by @quiltsofinsta to have some quilts featured on their profile. If we want to look at really beautiful quilts this is the first tag searched. There are also some quilt memes that are posted with this tag and a little laughter is never a bad thing!
The 100 days challenge has been around for a long time, so of course there is a quilter’s version! There are not a lot of posts with this tag, but if you’re looking for a daily challenge grab a friend and start sharing what you worked on today!
We firmly believe that inspiration can be found anywhere. This tag supports that belief as some photos are actually quilting, but many are not and that’s great! By knowing the Elements of Design applied to quilting, we can look at these seemingly unrelated photos and draw inspiration for the next project!
This tag is great because of so many reasons. Sometimes one block sticks out as being really cute and you just need to share it with like-minded people, sometimes there is only time for a single block, sometimes you just want to play. There is also a huge range of styles with this tag!
Our favorite tag! We created this tag because we firmly believe in both education and community and we felt that a hashtag allows the community feeling of a classroom from anywhere. It’s where you can see what we are up to in the store as well as our Stitchin’ community. We really do love to see what everyone is doing!
